Next to Mar\u00eda del Mar T\u00e9llez, researcher at the Institute of Research and Formation on Agriculture and Fisheries of the Government of Andalusia (IFAPA), technicians and producers introduced the most effective tools to deal with this insect, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seipasa.com\/mosca-blanca-virus-nueva-delhi-tomate\/\">Bemisia tabaci<\/a>, through preventive measures as well as plant health and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seipasa.com\/mosca-blanca-virus-nueva-delhi-tomate\/\">biological control<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As\u00a0explained by Tecnova\u2019s R&amp;D Director, Carolina Mart\u00ednez, and integrated production technician Carolina S\u00e1nchez, this research has proven the high effectiveness of treatments that employ <a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/\">SEIPASA\u2019s<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/\">biopesticides<\/a> on whitefly immature and adult populations.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">NAKAR, Zero Residues and no safety term<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/nakar\/\">NAKAR<\/a> (registry # ES-00123) is a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/\">bioinsecticide<\/a>\u00a0taken as a reference, which show its great capacity to eradicate whitefly populations while shutting of its biological reproduction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During\u00a0the trial developed from March to June, we evaluated the insecticidal effectiveness in three experimental treatments compared to an untreated control: control (T0), NAKAR 10 ml\/l (T1), NAKAR 6 ml\/l + Pirecris 2 ml\/l (T2) and Acetamiprid 0.5 g\/l (T3).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Tecnova\u00a0researchers highlighted the successful process of whitefly pest control with natural products such as Nakar and Pirecris, as well as chemical reference Acetamiprid. The findings of the trial showed that \u201cin all three treatments the insecticidal effect was similar and statistically indistinguishable from each other\u201d, which confirms the effectiveness of Seipasa\u2019s natural formulations equals the chemical reference, with added value too \u2013 it doesn\u2019t leave behind residues in the crop and that makes it suitable for integrated and organic production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seipasa.com\/mosca-blanca-nakar-bemisia-tabaci-ensayosakar\/grafica1-severidad\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 1200px;\" src=\"http:\/\/seipasa.com\/media\/thumbnails\/blog_image_1200\/files\/images\/grafica1-severidad-0ea87c63-355bb4b3.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thus, the insecticide potential of the newly formulated <a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/nakar\/\">NAKAR<\/a> that was stated in this trial adds up to the advantage of being a zero residue product, which does not require safety periods. Similarly, its synergy with Pirecris, another botanical-based bioinsecticide, has proven a tight control of <em>Bemisia tabaci<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As\u00a0the conclusions stated in, both solutions cause direct and immediate effects on pests: <em>&#8220;They\u00a0have produced desiccation in immature stages and a loss of cohesiveness in the adult stage.\u00a0In both cases, direct contact of these products has led to the death of insects&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seipasa.com\/mosca-blanca-nakar-bemisia-tabaci-ensayosakar\/fases-tabaci\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 1200px;\" src=\"http:\/\/seipasa.com\/media\/thumbnails\/blog_image_1200\/files\/images\/fases-tabaci-f7a3a29f-396c93e7.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this line, Seipasa\u2019s technical director, Xavier N\u00e1cher, emphasized the accomplished goal of this new solution hitting the market:\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/nakar\/\">NAKAR<\/a> achieves the eradication of the pest penetrating the insect\u2019s cell membranes and causing its dehydration, by disruption of the waxy layer, and death&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"fluidbox\" href=\"\/files\/images\/4-xavi-nacher-nakar72.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" style=\"width: 300px;\" title=\"Xavier N\u00e1cher, director del Departamento T\u00e9cnico de Seipasa, en las Jornadas de Tecnova sobre mosca blanca\" src=\"http:\/\/seipasa.com\/media\/thumbnails\/blog_image_300\/files\/images\/4-xavi-nacher-nakar72-eb8c602f.jpg\" alt=\"Xavier N\u00e1cher, director del Departamento T\u00e9cnico de Seipasa, en las Jornadas de Tecnova sobre mosca blanca\" longdesc=\"Xavier N\u00e1cher, director del Departamento T\u00e9cnico de Seipasa, en las Jornadas de Tecnova sobre mosca blanca\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Xavier N\u00e1cher, Seipasa\u2019s Technical Department Director.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As N\u00e1cher stated, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/nakar\/\">NAKAR<\/a>\u2019s action causes cytolysis of the insect cells, in other words, the breakdown or decomposition of the membrane, so it loses cell material and vital processes stop. Furthermore, it blocks the insect\u2019s spiracles, which leads to its suffocation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.seipasa.com\/biopesticides\/nakar\/\">NAKAR<\/a>\u2019s natural base makes it a privileged tool for <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seipasa.com\/gip-guias-gestion-integrada-plagas\/\">Integrated Pest Management<\/a> (IPM) strategies, as well as resistance management programs, to which it shows optimum results.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">NAKAR use strategies<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As N\u00e1cher explained, NAKAR can be used as a solution against whitefly in crops:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1)<\/strong> Intended for <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seipasa.com\/como-lograr-cosechas-libres-residuos-quimicos-cultivo-convencional\/\">zero residues<\/a>\u00a0production, it must be applied as soon as the pest appears in order to shorten its life cycle and consequently its spread.
