The reconstruction project will help get this area back into operation and will involve<strong> repairs and the updating of the irrigation system and all the sprinkler electrovalves<\/strong>. New soil will be put down and conditioned so that school children can start growing their organic vegetables again.<\/p>\n<p>In the opinion of Juan Manuel L\u00f3pez, Seipasa\u2019s Marketing Manager, recovering this school garden is a key project that will help children learn about the important role that agriculture plays in our society.<\/p>\n<p>As he goes on to explain, \u201cThis is an educational project that teaches values, so that children can learn why our primary sector is so crucial. Murcia is one of the most important fruit and vegetable-growing regions in Spain. \u00a0<strong>It is essential for the new generations to fully understand and appreciate the value of agriculture in our daily life<\/strong>, especially from the point of view of sustainability and respect for the environment, which are the two pillars of Seipasa\u2019s Natural Technology model\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2>Agriculture and teaching values<\/h2>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Saura, Sales Manager at Agroqu\u00edmicos Torre-Pacheco, highlighted the fact that the project will recover an important learning and training space at the school, which up to now has been totally inoperative for pupils.<\/p>\n<p>He also added that <strong>\u201cAs companies we need to be socially responsible and return to society part of what we receive from it<\/strong>. This project is a step in that direction. The garden at Al-kazar school is an organic vegetable garden so that our objective here is to ensure that agriculture and healthy, sustainable food form part of the set of values children are taught at school\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Marina Gema G\u00e1rate, head of studies at Al-kazar school and Los Alc\u00e1zares Town Hall Councillor for Education, thanked Seipasa and Agroqu\u00edmicos Torre-Pacheco for their involvement in this project and underlined the <strong>significant role that the organic garden plays in the school\u2019s activities.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Almost 250 pupils study at Al-kazar state school in its pre-school and primary cycles. The work on rebuilding the school garden began on 12th March but unfortunately had to be interrupted because of the exceptional circumstances decreed by the Spanish Government to halt the advance of Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to recall that the heavy rains recorded last September caused serious damage at various locations along the south-east coast, especially in the regions of Valencia, Almer\u00eda and Murcia. <strong>The town of Los Alc\u00e1zares recorded 292 litres per square metre and according to municipal sources the economic losses caused by the rainfall amounted to more than 100 million Euros.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>About Seipasa<\/h2>\n<p>Seipasa is a pioneering company in the <strong>formulation and development of treatments for natural crop protection, biostimulation and nutrition<\/strong>.
