Seipasa, the Spanish company specialised in the development and formulation of bioinsecticides, biofungicides and biostimulants for agriculture, has announced the launch of Seitylis<\/a>, a new biological fungicide of natural origin formulated with a state-of-the-art, highly efficient strain of Bacillus subtilis<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Designed according to the company’s Natural Technology model<\/a>, Seitylis exerts a preventive and curative action to control a broad range of plant diseases, such as oidium, mildew and mottling.<\/p>\n

As Francisco Espinoso, Seipasa’s R+D+I Manager, explains Seitylis consolidates the extensive know-how the company has developed on the use of microorganisms<\/strong> as natural enemies of pests and diseases.<\/p>\n

“Seitylis represents another step forward in our research work into the Bacillus subtilis<\/em> bacterium that we have been carrying out over the past years. We are pioneers in applying this area of knowledge to agriculture,<\/strong> and have already transferred it to the international market through our solutions registered in different countries and continents, such as Fungisei<\/a> biofungicide or our Radisei<\/a> root stimulant registered in Spain”, Francisco Espinoso pointed out.<\/p>\n

“With Seitylis we harness all of the current innovations in the use of microorganisms applied to agriculture and make them available to farmers in the form of a safe, highly efficient, trustworthy solution”, the company’s R+D+I manager added.<\/p>\n

Antagonistic effect and defence activator<\/h2>\n

Seitylis provides an antagonistic effect which displaces pathogenic organisms from their niche and prevents them from developing<\/strong>. It acts by forming a biological, protective barrier on the plant’s leaves and by activating its integrated defence system.<\/p>\n
