Seipasa, a Spanish company specialising in the development, formulation and manufacture of bioinsecticides, biofungicides, biostimulants and nutritional treatments for agriculture, has inaugurated its new R&D laboratory with the aim of making a qualitative leap and reinforcing the value of the innovation that the company applies and contributes to the agricultural sector.

The new facility, in L’Alcúdia, Valencia, is equipped with the most advanced technology and was created with the aim of establishing a bridge between the laboratory and the company’s experimental center, which is located in the same Valencian town. These two main pillars serve as the foundation for the company’s research and development activities.

The new infrastructure boasts state-of-the-art resources, facilitating the formulation and development of new products, efficacy testing with new variants, and quality assurance with more advanced parameters. In addition, it supports Seipasa’s research endeavours aimed at obtaining new patents.

Among the innovations incorporated are growth chambers designed to conduct experiments under controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, light, and radiation. The aforementioned chambers will facilitate the re-creation of specific environments and the execution of efficacy trials with enhanced speed and precision, enabling the control of all factors that could potentially impact the crop.

Since the inauguration of the new laboratory, Seipasa has also strengthened its R&D team with the incorporation of specialists in the areas of formulation, quality assurance and technical product development.

Connecting bridge to the experimental center and trial field

Francisco Espinosa, Chief Research Officer at Seipasa, provides the following explanation: “We are gratified by the inauguration of this new infrastructure, which will facilitate and enhance our innovation work in agriculture, foster intriguing synergies, and facilitate interaction with other company departments, including the experimental center.

“Our aim”, Espinosa stressed, “is to continue to bring value-added to farmers in the form of quality, highly profitable and chemical residue-free crops. This facility enables us to advance more rapidly and effectively in the creation of innovative solutions that address the needs of farmers, and above all, to do so with the most capable human team.”
