Respect for the environment is the cornerstone of our sustainability policy. Our model firmly believes that innovation and respect for the environment go hand in hand. That is why we work to reduce the impact of our production process as much as possible at every stage.
100% of the energy used by Seipasa is of renewable origin. It comes from certified energy traders or from the production of energy by solar panels.
We have reduced our energy consumption in lighting by 50%, thanks to the total replacement of the lamps with LED lights.
Seipasa is 40% self-sufficient in electricity generated by solar panels, thanks to the completion of the second phase of self-consumption panels installed in our industrial complex in L’Alcúdia, Valencia.
We are on track to achieve zero emissions from electricity consumption.
We integrate sustainability into our production and packaging chain. Consequently, our 20-liter containers incorporate 50% recycled plastic, while the strapping bands used for securing pallets contain 90% recovered material. Furthermore, we have reduced the use of this polymer by 17% by reducing the grammage of our 1-liter format. Likewise, at Seipasa we are promoting a new labeling system that will decrease paper consumption by 41% over the next six years.
95% of the waste generated at our facilities is recycled, giving it a second life.
We do not discharge wastewater into the sewerage system. All wastewater generated during the manufacturing process is treated at an approved wastewater treatment plant.
Our formulators use the Cleaning in Place system, which reduces water consumption and cleaning times.
As a member of the United Nations Global Compact, Seipasa is committed to aligning its strategies and actions with universal principles on human rights, decent work, respect for the environment and the fight against corruption. We are also committed to adopting measures that promote these objectives in society.
