Seipasa, the Spanish company specialised in the development and formulation of bioinsecticides, biofungicides and biostimulants, has presented the fourth edition of its children's Christmas drawing competition that will be held during November and December. Under the title "Your drawing, a gift for others", this is an initiative that puts the focus on solidarity and social awareness. The company has announced that it will donate 10 Euros for each drawing sent into the competition. The amount will go entirely to aid projects aimed at helping the most disadvantaged groups in society, through Cáritas.
Cáritas Española is the official confederation of charitable and social organisations that come under the auspices of the Catholic Church in Spain. It works to help disadvantaged individuals and people with the aim of combating poverty, exclusion, intolerance and discrimination. Cáritas carries out this work through 70 diocesan organisations and more than 5,500 parish organisations, and it is supported by a network of more than 80,000 volunteers.
Seipasa's Marketing Manager, Juan Manuel López, highlighted the socially-conscious character of this initiative to help those most in need, explaining that, "We appreciate the dedication, effort and social work of Cáritas enormously, and this is why we want to contribute to the charity at a time that is particularly complicated, when thousands of people and families are suffering the consequences of the pandemic".
He went on to say that “It looks like Christmas is going to be very different from how we imagined, but we must try to recover the optimism in our innermost being. This initiative aims to offer a little hope and shed some light in the darkness through the eyes of children. A child's view is full of spontaneity, curiosity and joy. We want them to portray that in their drawings, showing us why this Christmas will be special for them. And we want their drawings, each one of the artistic creations we receive, to become a warm embrace, a gesture of support for others through the donation we will be making to Cáritas”.
Competition conditions
The "Your drawing, a gift for others" competition is open to children up to the age of 14. The initiative is divided into three age categories: under 6; 7-9 years old and 10 to 14 years old, with a prize for the winners of each category. Participants should show us their view of Christmas in a drawing and send it via the online form on the competition website. The competition rules can be consulted here.
The plastic artist Cristóbal Hernández Barbero will be in charge of judging the drawings. The deadline for participants to submit their creations is 12:00h on 9th December. For each drawing received Seipasa will donate 10 Euros in aid of the Cáritas social projects.
