Seipasa presents its 2023 Sustainability Report

Seipasa, a Spanish company specialising in the development, formulation and production of bioinsecticides, biofungicides, biostimulants and nutritional treatments for agriculture, has presented its ESG Report for 2023, which includes the main advances made in terms of sustainability.

The report highlights the main advances made in the three aspects of sustainability (environmental, social and governance - ESG), which has been consolidated as one of the fundamental pillars of the company’s business strategy.

In the environmental field, Seipasa has taken an important step towards its goal of energy self-sufficiency with the inauguration of the second phase of its solar panel plant. Thanks to this expansion, 40% of the electricity consumed by the company comes from energy produced in its own facility.

In addition, Seipasa contracts energy from renewable sources, consolidating its commitment to the goal of zero CO2 emissions from electricity consumption.

The application of reuse and recycling policies has enabled Seipasa to give a second life to 95% of the waste plastic, paper, cardboard and other materials used in its production process.

Quality employment and commitment to the SDGs

In the social sphere, Seipasa has reaffirmed its role as a company that generates quality employment. In 2023, 100% of the company’s employees had permanent contracts, achieving a zero rate of temporary employment. In addition, there were no workplace accidents this year, confirming the effectiveness of the safety and quality measures implemented in the workplace.

In terms of corporate governance, Seipasa has joined the United Nations Global Compact, a step that reinforces its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this sense, the company has promoted the creation of an internal sustainability committee with the aim of channelling and encouraging social actions aimed at promoting the production and consumption of healthy food, free of chemical waste, within the framework of a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

In the words of María del Puig Mora, Seipasa’s director of Quality and Environment: “Sustainability is part of our DNA and is a transversal axis in each of our decisions and actions. The progress achieved in 2023 reflects a strong commitment to the environment, people’s well-being and responsible innovation.”

25th anniversary

Finally, 2023 has been a special year for Seipasa as it commemorates its 25th anniversary, a milestone that coincides with the inauguration of its new headquarters in L’Alcúdia, Valencia, a modern and efficient space that symbolises the company’s growth and evolution.

Seipasa’s Sustainability Report reaffirms the company’s commitment to its ESG policy, which focuses on promoting healthy eating through the production of fruit, vegetables and cereals free of chemical residues. A constant effort that positions Seipasa as a benchmark in the development of sustainable solutions for agriculture and society.
