Seipasa, the Spanish company specialised in the development and formulation of bioinsecticides, biofungicides and biostimulants for agriculture, has renewed its registration on the EMAS Register, the maximum environmental recognition at European level.
EMAS, which stands for Eco-Management and Audit Scheme, is a model that certifies environmental management excellence. Being listed on this Register is a guarantee of sustainability at each stage in the production and application of products.
Seipasa's Quality and Environment Manager, María del Puig Mora, celebrated the fact that the company has obtained this premium environmental recognition: "For Seipasa, protecting nature is a priority. It is managed at the highest level of our company’s organisational structure and is present in each and every one of our policies and actions. The EMAS Regulation is yet another example of the importance Seipasa places on the environment within its corporate management and production system".
Ms Mora defined EMAS as a symbol of business excellence and pointed out that very few companies in the industry have received this recognition: "To be an EMAS company involves an ongoing commitment. This certification is renewed every 4 years, but it requires annual reviews and monitoring of the company's environmental goals. This means that all of our departments and employees, at all levels of the company, have to be involved in the commitment on a daily basis.
Seipasa was first awarded EMAS Registration in 2015 and since then has maintained this certification as an important element in the management and continuous improvement of its environmental performance.
