Seipasa, a Spanish company specialising in the development, formulation and production of bioinsecticide, biofungicide, biostimulant and nutritional treatments for agriculture, has become the official sponsor of the 9th edition of the L'Alcúdia Persimmon Half Marathon, which will be held in this town in La Ribera region on Sunday 6th October 2024.

The race, which will be held together with the 5K Persimmon Race and belongs to the Club Atletisme L'Alcudia, is part of the calendar of popular races organised by the Valencia Provincial Council. It is also included in the official calendar of the Valencian Federation of Athletics Associations (FACV-RFEA), which means that the scores obtained will be recognised in other professional competitions.

The L’Alcúdia Persimmon Half Marathon, together with the parallel 5K race, is expected to bring together more than 1,300 athletes in a sporting event that has become a fixture in the calendar of the Valencian Community. The race will take place on a road course approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).

Pedro Peleato, CEO of Seipasa, highlighted the company's social commitment to promoting this type of local sporting event, which aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through sport.

“By sponsoring the L’Alcúdia Persimmon Half Marathon we are giving value to the most human aspect of our ESG (environmental, social and governance criteria) policy. Our social commitment is to promote the production and consumption of healthy food, free of chemical waste and produced under criteria of sustainability and respect for the environment”.

“We are driven by a lifestyle and a way of understanding human relations in which sport plays a fundamental role and, with this objective in mind, we are very happy to support a sporting event with these characteristics,” said Peleato.

The CEO of Seipasa also highlighted the company’s desire to strengthen the ties that bind it to the town of L’Alcúdia. In this sense, Peleato said: “Last year we celebrated our 25th anniversary, an event that reminds us that L’Alcúdia is our home, the stage on which we were born, grew, transformed and expanded internationally, taking us to more than 30 countries around the world”.

“As a company, we have an excellent relationship with the local administration and the other municipal bodies. Many of our employees live or were born in L’Alcúdia. We feel that we are a neighbour of this municipality and that is why we want to be part of the activities that promote well-being, coexistence and healthy habits in the town,” concluded Pedro Peleato.

Seipasa has a team of runners made up of the company’s employees, who will take part in both the 5K race and the 21K Half Marathon. This group has already taken part in other similar events, such as the Valencia Business Race (CEV).
